Show Notes

IT’S BLOODY GIAL-LY!!!

This month, I take a detour into a miniseries on the Giallo genre. You see, for some reason, this genre never really quite stuck with me and I want to change that. I am doing five episodes with people who love Giallo, talking about some of their favorite entries in the genre. On this, the debut of the miniseries, I am joined by Lauren La Melle, a Bronx-based filmmaker with her Masters degree in Horror. The co-host of the Scary Crit Podcast joins me to talk about the game-changer that is the Leprechaun franchise, her film school experience, and how professional wrestling is THE principal storytelling art form. We then dive into the 1964 Mario Bava masterpiece, Blood and Black Lace.

You can find Lauren on social media on Instagram and Twitter @laurenlamelle. You can also follow A Scary Crit Podcast @ScaryCritPod. You can also listen and subscribe the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Stitcher, Amazon Music, or wherever you download your podcasts.

And now the call to action. Just one this episode, but in light of recent decisions made by the Supreme Court of the United States (and state governments, including the hellbeast who presides of South Dakota), it is as important as ever:
